Ohio State's offense faltered a bit on its next drive, but found the end zone soon after Ezekiel Elliott broke an 81-yard touchdown run.

Ohio State followed that with a Sean Nuernberger field goal, a Devin Smith 44-yard touchdown reception and a 14-yard touchdown run for Ezekiel Elliott. The backbreaker came shortly before halftime when Michael Bennett forced a fumble from Melvin Gordon, which Joey Bosa returned for a touchdown.
