Ohio State is in the playoffs, but the oddsmakers in Vegas do not agree according to a report from ESPN's David Purdum.
Ed Salmons, the head football oddsmaker at the Westgate SuperBook, along oddsmakers from the Wynn, the Aliante casino, and CG Techology all say Ohio State would open as underdogs to the two Texan upstarts.
"Ohio State numbers are hard to make because of the quarterback situation," Salmons said of the Buckeyes, who are down to their third quarterback. "I would say TCU probably would have been 4½ and Baylor about 2½ or 3½ (over Ohio State). Somewhere in that range. But Ohio State definitely would be 'dogs to both those teams."
Well, obviously Vegas is having a hard time with Ohio State's numbers due to its precarious "quarterback situation." The last time Ohio State took the field, the Buckeyes did so as four-point underdogs to Wisconsin in the Big Ten championship game.
Ohio State responded with a 59-0 drubbing, which was reportedly the third highest cover in college football history.
