Former Ohio State linebacker Curtis Grant went undrafted in the 2015 NFL draft before signing with the San Diego Chargers in May 2015. The Chargers ultimately waived Grant that August before the Atlanta Falcons signed him to their practice squad in December.
Ohio State allows players one-year removed from its program to compete at its annual pro day. This is usually reserved for players trying to catch a team's glimpse, and Grant worked out in front of every NFL team during Ohio State's 2016 pro day.
The Tennessee Titans liked what they saw:

It's worth noting the Titans were in Columbus on Wednesday to privately work out select Buckeyes. Joey Bosa, Darron Lee, Tyvis Powell, Von Bell, Adolphus Washington were the reported names, but it's conceivable Grant was at least present as well.
The Titans' defense is also coordinated by Ohio State legend Dick LeBeau, who does not hide his affection for the Buckeyes:
