Once a Buckeye, always a Buckeye. Across the Shield follows those who once wore Scarlet and Gray on their journeys through the NFL.
Pryor Does it All (Except Kick)
Terrelle Pryor may as well been the only Cleveland Brown on the field this weekend.
The former Buckeye quarterback turned NFL wide receiver did a little bit of everything Sunday, catching eight receptions for 144 yards, completing three passes for 35 yards, carrying the ball four times for 24 yards and a touchdown, and even playing a snap on defense.

Pryor was basically the Browns' entire offensive production, Sunday, particularly towards the end of the game. As a whole, Cleveland gained 430 yards – the receiver running back quarterback football player was responsible for 200 of them.

Despite his insane numbers however, the Browns still managed to lose. Cleveland placekicker Cody Parkey missed a late field goal that would have given the team a 27-24 win. Instead, the game went to overtime and the Dolphins came away with a 30-24 victory.
Pryor became the first player since the AFL/NFL merger to three pass completions, rushes and catches. Though after the game, he was focused on the only stat that matters – the score.

1-on-1 with @TerrellePryor:https://t.co/roX7enM9JC
"I had some drops as well," Pryor said of his video game-like performance. "I'm very dissatisfied with myself, personally, but I'm very proud of my teammates."
.@TerrellePryor: "I'll play anything for Coach Jackson ... Center ... Tackle."

I would not be shocked to see Pryor take over place-kicking duties next week.
Running Backs Eat
After three fumbles between them last week, former Buckeye running backs Carlos Hyde and Ezekiel Elliott had monster games Sunday, each eclipsing the century mark on the ground.
For Elliott, it was a breakout performance. A week after putting the ball on the turf twice against the Redskins, he carried the ball 30 times for 140 yards – the 2nd-most rushing yards by an NFL running back this season.
Looks like @EzekielElliott wants to make an early statement...

21-yard gain on the 1st play! #CHIvsDAL https://t.co/r5Z8e57ynD
Elliott finished with 30 rushes for 140 yards, two catches for 20 yards and quite a few nice blocks in pass protection.
Hyde had himself a day as well. El Guapo found the end-zone twice against Seattle and amassed 103 rushing yards in the process.

Scoring drive: 11 plays, 75 yards, 5:03. #SFvsSEA https://t.co/qwcZfF8sgP
The former Buckeye ball-carriers had a combined 265 all-purpose yards with two touchdowns during week-three.
But remember, Urban Meyer doesn't use running backs.
JAlin MArshall Adventure
Jalin Marshall has already proven himself a dangerous return man and has begun to crack the Jets' receiver rotation as well. Sunday, however, Jets fans got a taste of another side of the receiver Buckeye fans are also all too familiar with.
Late in the second quarter, Marshall fielded a kickoff and appeared to find a seam before fumbling, allowing for an easy scoop-and-score for the Chiefs' kickoff team.

The rest of the game, Marshall had two catches for 19 yards.
Every snap is an adventure for the Middletown, Ohio product – even in New York.
Play of the WEek
Sunday night, Buckeye fans were treated to a familiar sight as Ezekiel Elliott took to the skies, hurdling a defender and picking up a first down.

This is something the running back did quite frequently at Ohio State when defenders began to hit him low, and his rationale for going airborne is the same now as it was in college.
Zeke Elliott: "I kinda knew I was [gonna hurdle] the whole way. I had to put something on film so they dont keep trying to chop those legs."

Ohio Against The World
I know what you're thinking – with Terrelle Pryor's ridiculous game, Carlos Hyde's two touchdown performance and Ezekiel Elliott's 100-yard game, this has to be the week I pull out a win.
It still doesn't look great.
It's hard enough to win when you get no points from the quarterback position, getting -4 points from the defense/special teams spot sure doesn't help (shoutout to Pittsburgh).
As it stands, I need Michael Thomas to outscore Tevin Coleman by 22 points to pull out a win.
What I'm saying is, there's a chance.
