Once upon a time, Malik Hooker almost quit Ohio State before his mom talked some sense into him.
Who knows what would've happened had Hooker left, but so far it appears Angela Davis knew the right path for her son.
Hooker, only a redshirt sophomore, leads the Buckeyes with four interceptions in five games and is already drawing comparisons to Ed Reed in some NFL circles.
Hooker's rise will be profiled next Tuesday on BTN's The Journey, to air Oct. 18th at 9 p.m. ET. A snippet of the profile can be viewed above. It features appearances from Hooker, Davis, defensive coordinator Greg Schiano and Urban Meyer.
