John Hicks, a former legendary Ohio State and NFL offensive lineman, passed away at age 65 on Oct. 30th.
The outpouring of support was as expected from Buckeye Nation.
Former Ohio State assistant coach Lou Holtz, in the above video shared by Braxton Miller, details a recruiting visit to the Hicks' Cleveland compound while marveling at the humanitarian Hicks became later in life.
He also brings an anecdote about Hicks saving the life of his fellow All-American teammate, safety Jack Tatum.
It's an incredible video that shows what an impact Hicks had on people away from the football field.
