After Ohio State cremated Maryland, 62-3, it wouldn't be unreasonable to expect every player who traveled to College Park to earn a "Player of the Game" nod from the program.
But that's now how it works under Urban Meyer. As such, the program named their Players of the Game against Maryland on Sunday afternoon.
The list is as follows:
PLAYER | AWARD | PERFORMANCE VS. MARYLAND |
---|---|---|
J.T. BARRETT | OFFENSE | 253 PASS YARDS, 47 RUSH YARDS, 4 TOUCHDOWNS |
CURTIS SAMUEL | OFFENSE | 74 RECEPTION YARDS, 38 RUSH YARDS, 3 TOUCHDOWNS |
RAEKWON MCMILLAN | DEFENSE | 10 TACKLES, 2 TACKLES FOR LOSS, 1 SACK |
ERICK SMITH | SPECIAL TEAMS | 2 TACKLES, 1 KEY BLOCK |
Ohio State is next in action on Nov. 19th against Michigan State in East Lansing at 12 p.m. ET on ESPN.
