12 weeks. Over 1,000 games. Dozens upon dozens of storylines.
It all comes down to today, when ESPN will announce the four teams chosen to participate in the two College Football Playoff Semifinals – the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl and the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl.
Undefeated Alabama is your No. 1 seed. That leaves five teams to fight over the remaining three spots. We think Ohio State is in the field.
We'll find out for sure soon enough. Consider this your guide for a busy day.
ESPN's College Football Playoff: Top 25 Selection Show
ESPN has exclusive rights to announce the four Playoff teams and will do so during their four-hour selection show Sunday (noon–4 p.m., ESPN/WatchESPN). The good news: the four playoff teams will all be announced within the fist half hour of the show.
Pairings for the other four New Year's Six bowls (Orange, Sugar, Cotton and Rose), the final Top 25 rankings and start times for the semifinal games will be announced around 2:30 p.m.
Rece Davis will host this four-hour block, with analysts Joey Galloway, Kirk Herbstreit, Danny Kanell and David Pollak from ESPN's studios in Bristol, Conn. Paul Finebaum, Chris Fowler, Jesse Palmer, and others will weigh in via satellite.
Davis will also speak with College Football Playoff Committee Chairman Kirby Hocutt, who will appear on air at approximately 12:40 p.m. and after the New Year's Six bowl matchups are announced.
Media On Site at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center
At approximately 2 p.m., Urban Meyer and members of the Ohio State football team will be available to the media for a press conference and interviews, respectively.
We expect to talk to quarterback J.T. Barrett, center Pat Elflein, defensive end Tyquan Lewis, and guard Billy Price.
Now is a great time to remind you to follow Eleven Warriors on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube as news will be coming fast. It's probably a great idea for you to follow our own Eric Seger, Tim Shoemaker, Andrew Lind and Kevin Harrish on Twitter, too.
Need More?
We'll post updates from the WHAC, and cover every aspect of Sunday's announcements. ESPN has seven more hours of arguing lined up, too, if you're into that sort of thing.
