Urban Meyer will make a base pay of $6.4 million in 2017, USA TODAY reports.
Meyer's contract calls for 6% annual raises in "certain components," but Ohio State trustees approved an 8% raise after Meyer led the Buckeyes to the 2017 College Football Playoff.
The raise likely makes him the third-highest paid coach in the country, trailing only Alabama's Nick Saban ($7.1 million) and Michigan's Jim Harbaugh ($7 million).
Clemson's Dabo Swinney will be the only other coach earning north of six million, though like Saban's haul, a one-time payment inflates that number.
Meyer's contract called for him to make $6.1 million in 2017. He received a $160K retention bonus in February. If Ohio State makes the 2018 College Football Playoffs, Meyer earns a $250K bonus.
