Ohio State running back Mike Weber has been named as the Big Ten's co-offensive player of the week for his performance in the Buckeyes' 48-3 win over Michigan State on Saturday.

Weber ran for a career-high 162 yards against the Spartans, highlighted by a 47-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and an 82-yard touchdown run in the second quarter, on just nine carries.

The redshirt sophomore from Detroit, who had rushed for only 275 yards this season entering Saturday's game, shares this week's Big Ten offensive player of the week honors with Minnesota quarterback Demry Croft, who ran for 183 yards and three touchdowns and threw for another 105 yards in a 54-21 win against Nebraska.

The honor is the first Big Ten offensive player of the week award of Weber's career. Weber is the second Ohio State player to earn Big Ten offensive player of the week honors this season, joining Buckeyes quarterback J.T. Barrett, who has won the award three times this season for his performances against Indiana, Nebraska and Penn State.
