The scenario was nearly the same. The starting quarterback got hurt and the backup came in and led Ohio State to a victory in The Game. But this time, the old backup went to the locker room too.
After J.T. Barrett left with a right knee injury during the third quarter of Ohio State's 31-20 win over Michigan, former Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones joined his friend, former teammate to the locker room as Dwayne Haskins came through and lead Ohio State on its comeback.
Though Barrett would later return to the sidelines albeit without a helmet, his walk back out to the playing field was taken with Jones by his side.

Though Jones' time has come and gone in his Buckeye career and Barrett just became the first quarterback to ever go 4-0 versus Michigan, the tradition of excellence continues to re-serve itself on the part of its program and the players that consistently produce greatness.
