The NCAA will allow teams to add an assistant coach in January. Ohio State reportedly has its eyes set on Washington State defensive coordinator (and Grove City native) Alex Grinch.
Grinch, meanwhile, is preparing his team to play Michigan State in the Holiday Bowl on Thursday.
Tuesday, after offering coach-speak about preparing his team while dealing with reports of a move to Columbus (start the video at the 5:07 mark), Spokane Review reporter Theo Lawson asked Grinch if he'll return to Pullman in 2018.
"Appreciate it, guys," Grinch said before walking off.
One Cougar fan sees the writing on the wall:
Great question, lame response. Then again, you got your answer.

While nothing is official yet, it's looking more and more like the Grinch will be coming home in a couple weeks.
