The NFL named New Orleans Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore as December's Defensive Rookie of the Month on Thursday. Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt earned offensive honors.
The former Ohio State star is the first defensive back to earn multiple monthly honors since the award's inception in 1996.
Lattimore last won the award in November.
The Saints went 4-0 last month while cinching the NFC South. Lattimore posted 3 interceptions, 12 tackles, and defensed 9 passes during that stretch.
The Saints host the Carolina Panthers, on Sunday in the opening round of the playoffs.
