Ohio State completed a big recruiting month with a bang on Monday.
Having already built momentum on the recruiting trail with the commitments of offensive linemen Maxwell Riley, Sam Greer and Tucker Smith, Ohio State landed its biggest commitment of the spring yet when five-star Louisiana safety Blaine Bradford – the No. 1-ranked safety in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2026 class – gave his verbal to the Buckeyes.
The surprise commitment comes as a massive win for the Buckeyes, who beat out Bradford’s home-state school LSU as well as Texas to land his commitment. And it shows that the momentum Ohio State has been able to build on the recruiting trail after winning a national championship is real.
On a new episode of Press Coverage, Eleven Warriors’ Garrick Hodge and Dan Hope break down the impact of Bradford’s commitment, what he could bring to Ohio State’s future secondary, the momentum the Buckeyes have built on the recruiting trail and what could be next for the Buckeyes – including the possibility of pairing Bradford with another five-star safety from the South.
