Ryan Shazier is making incredible progress from his 2017 spinal injury, yet he has a long way to go before returning to the gridiron, which is his goal.
Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert announced in February that Shazier would not play in 2018. The franchise made it official Wednesday by placing the linebacker on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform List.
Though Shazier will not count against the Steelers roster, he is still due $8.7 million as his contract is guaranteed against injury.
