DeVier Posey is back in the Canadian Football League.
The former Ohio State wide receiver signed with the BC Lions on Monday, returning to the league where he won Grey Cup MVP honors last season with the Toronto Argonauts.
“DeVier will definitely help our offence heading into a very critical part of our schedule,” Lions general manager Ed Hervey said in a team release. “He’s demonstrated the ability to make game-changing plays and he will be a significant addition to the talented group of receivers we have now.”
Posey attempted to make it back to the NFL this summer, spending the preseason with the Baltimore Ravens, but now, he will resume his career in Canada – where he had established himself as one of the CFL's top receivers – after being cut by the Ravens on Aug. 31.
