It looks as though Adolphus Washington's first game as a Buffalo Bill this season will also be his last.
The Buffalo Bills waived the former Ohio State defensive tackle on Monday, announcing that they had released him in order to sign former Utah and Cleveland Browns defensive end Nate Orchard.
The news was first reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter.
A third-round pick by the Bills in the 2016 NFL draft, Washington recorded 36 total tackles over the course of his first two years with his team. He recorded two tackles in the Bills' season opener against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, but the Bills lost, 47-3.
The NFL's 31 other teams will now have the opportunity to claim Washington on waivers. If he goes unclaimed, he will become a free agent on Tuesday.
