Darron Lee intercepted two passes and scored his first career NFL touchdown during the third quarter of the New York Jets' season opener against the Detroit Lions on Monday night.
As you can see in the video above, the former Ohio State linebacker intercepted a pass from Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford and returned it 36 yards for a touchdown, running past former Ohio State offensive tackle Taylor Decker in the process.
Lee's interception return was the Jets' first defensive touchdown since 2013, breaking the team's 73-game drought without a defensive touchdown, the longest such drought in NFL history, according to ESPN Stats & Info.
Less than two minutes of game time later, Lee intercepted Stafford again for his second interception of the quarter.

A first-round pick in the 2016 NFL draft, Lee did not record any interceptions in his first two NFL seasons.
After the game, Lee attributed his big night to knowing what plays the Lions were going to run before Stafford threw his passes.
Darron Lee (two INTs) said the defense knew Staffords signals and were calling out the plays before the snap. #Jets
