Former Buckeye kicker Mike Nugent will be sidelined for some time as the Raiders placed him on the injured reserve list, the team announced on Wednesday.
Nugent injured his hip on Sunday during the Raiders' loss to the Dolphins, sidelining him for at least eight weeks. Before the injury, Nugent had made all six of his field goal attempts this season and hit 4-of-5 extra points.
At age 36, this is Nugent's 13th season in the NFL after he's spent time with the Jets, Buccaneers, Cardinals, Bengals, Cowboys, and Bears before joining the Raiders this offseason.
