The New Orleans Saints are likely parting ways with one of their Buckeyes as the team is releasing former Ohio State safety Kurt Coleman, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
The #Saints are releasing S Kurt Coleman, source says. The team will keep the door open to his potential return later but he was due $5.5m in total compensation this season and that figure was too high for them.

Coleman was not considered a starter, though he did start nine games, but was a key contributor for the Saints, finishing the season with 32 tackles.
The Saints are not ruling out his return next season, but are not willing to pay the $5.5 million he is owed this season, Garafolo reports.
This leaves the Saints with four former Buckeyes on their roster: Michael Thomas, Marshon Lattimore, Eli Apple and Vonn Bell.
