Ohio State's 2019 season begins in less than 24 hours, but that still leaves us with plenty of time to get some last minute wagers in on the Buckeyes.
Of course, there's the obvious game line – Ohio State is a current 27.5-point favorite over the Owls of the Florida Atlantic – but there's also a whole slew of prop bets featuring Ohio State and Buckeye players that you can give some action ahead of kickoff.
Before we get into things, for those of you who do not typically dabble in gambling, the odds listed can be understood relative to a $100 bet. A negative number is how much one must wager to win $100, a positive number is how much one would win with a $100 wager.
With that out of the way, to the lines!
Ohio State Regular Season Win Total
- Over 10: -120
- Under 10: -110
This is the lowest I've seen this number all offseason in terms of both number and odds, so if you're looking to hop on Ohio State's over, this is probably your best chance.
As for my unsolicited and far from expert analysis, I do not see a nine-loss season for Ohio State. I think this line is an overreaction to a new head coach and a new starting quarterback. But even if Ryan Day and/or Justin Fields don't quite live up to the absurd hype, this is still arguably the most talented roster in the country, top to bottom.
I'm confident in the Over 10, expecting a push in the worst-case scenario.

J.K. Dobbins Rushing Props
-
Total Regular Season Rushing Touchdowns
- Over 9.5: -125
- Under 9.5: -105
-
Total Regular Season Rushing Yardage
- Over 1100.5 yards: -145
- Under 1100.5 yards: +115
The important note here is that these are regular season numbers only.
That said, I do think these are both a little low, given that the only person he'll be splitting crucial carries with is Justin Fields, and if anything that will open up the run for him as it did with J.T. Barrett in 2017.
I love the Over 1100.5 here. Dobbins hit this with relative ease his freshman season, even though he was still splitting carries with Mike Weber at times and Barrett had a healthy dose of rushes as well. I expect his junior year production will even exceed that of his freshman season.
But while I think 9.5 might be a little too low for a bell-cow running back, I would not pull the trigger on that bet. Dobbins has never had 10 regular-season rushing touchdowns in his career, and I think there's a good chance Fields gets a lot of the red zone touchdowns this season, much like Barrett did in the past.

Odds to Win the Big Ten East
- Ohio State: +125
- Michigan: +150
- Michigan State: +500
- Penn State: +600
- Indiana: +2500
- Maryland: +13500
- Rutgers: +40000
This is about what you'd expect – Ohio State and Michigan at the top.
I earnestly believe that the Buckeyes will win the Big Ten East, but I would not make this bet because I think if they do win the Big Ten East, I think they're also going to win the entire Big Ten, so I'd prefer to take the better odds there.
If you're feeling really frisky, you can toss a $10 spot on Rutgers and collect $4,000 when the Scarlet Knights punch their ticket to Indy.

Odds to Win the Big Ten
- Ohio State: +175
- Michigan: +200
- Nebraska: +800
- Michigan State: +1200
- Penn State: +1200
- Wisconsin: +1400
I said I'd prefer to take this bet to the Big Ten East version. That's true, but it's still not the bet I'm taking.
I believe Ohio State has pretty much the same chance of winning the Big Ten East as it does the Big Ten conference as a whole, so I do like the value here in comparison. However, I also think that if the Buckeyes win the Big Ten, they will make the College Football Playoff. So that's what I'll be taking in the next section.

Will Ohio State Make the 4 Team Playoff?
- Yes: +225
- No: -285
This is like one of those Russian nesting dolls, but we've finally reached the end.
I like the "YES" here a lot simply because I do not see Ohio State winning the Big Ten and missing out on the College Football Playoff for a third-straight season, and I do think the Buckeyes will win the Big Ten. So in my mind, this is the better bet if you're looking to pick Ohio State to win the conference.
My logic here basically revolves around Ohio State avoiding a throttling against a fringe bowl team this year. Time will tell!

Heisman Trophy Odds
- Trevor Lawrence: +225
- Tua Tagovailoa: +275
- Jalen Hurts: +900
- Adrian Martinez: +1000
- Jonathan Taylor: +1200
- D'Andre Swift: +1400
- Jake Fromm: +1400
- Justin Fields: +1400
- Justin Herbert: +1600
- Sam Ehlinger: +1600
I don't ever really advise betting on the Heisman Trophy winner in the preseason, but if you're really wanting to get frisky, history tells us you should probably roll with a dual-threat quarterback. In that case, I like Adrian Martinez and Justin Fields a lot at those odds, because I think they're both going to get plenty of rushing opportunities and put up numbers in the passing game.
Realistically, this might be Trevor Lawrence and Tua Tagovailoa's trophy to lose, but with those odds, they just aren't worth taking.
