Each Buckeye player's journey is unique and former walk-on offensive lineman Kevin Woidke made us all keenly aware of that this weekend.
Though Woidke is hardly a household name among Buckeye fans, he took to social media to share a hilariously self-aware letter to Ohio State and Buckeye Nation – as well as an NFL draft declaration.

“I have done nothing to even remotely warrant attention in any way,” Woidke wrote. “I am one of the guys in the hype videos that stands in the back and looks like a mix of Buddy the Elf and Marv from Home Alone.”
He went on to thank his teammates for being so talented and athletic that he could thrive in relative anonymity.
But even though his letter wouldn't suggest it, Woidke did see the field quite a bit towards the end of his Buckeye career. He saw action on special teams as a member of the field goal unit throughout his junior and senior seasons, and even earned a scholarship ahead of his redshirt senior season.
Though it is safe to say his letter made a bigger splash among Buckeye fans than his play ever did – and it seems he'd be quite happy about that.
