Cameron Brown's season is over.

The Ohio State cornerback is scheduled to undergo surgery on Tuesday and will miss the rest of the season after suffering a torn Achilles in Saturday's game at Penn State, according to a report by Lettermen Row's Austin Ward.

Brown suffered the injury during the fourth quarter of Saturday's 38-25 win when he went down on his own and had to be carted off the field.

In the first two games of the season, Brown had been one of the top four cornerbacks on Ohio State's depth chart, seeing playing time at both outside cornerback and as a slot cornerback in nickel packages. At the time of his injury on Saturday, he had replaced Sevyn Banks in the lineup at outside cornerback.

With Brown now out for the rest of the year, however, Ohio State's cornerback depth behind the starting trio of Shaun Wade, Banks and Marcus Williamson has taken a major hit. Tyreke Johnson, who did not see any playing time on defense against Penn State, is the only other non-freshman cornerback on the roster.
