Johnson, a St. Louis native from De Smet Jesuit High School, was the No. 50 overall recruit in the 2021 class, and the No. 3-rated cornerback. Johnson was the top-ranked player in Missouri.
Listed at 6-foot, 185 pounds, Johnson was the third Ohio State cornerback in his recruiting cycle to lose his black stripe, behind Denzel Burke and Jordan Hancock.
Before Johnson, freshman safety Andre Turrentine was the last Ohio State defensive back to lose his black stripe, doing so last Wednesday.
