The sportsbooks love Ohio State's chances to win a national championship this season after an eventful weekend of college football.
According to Bovada and Vegas Insider, the Buckeyes are either favorites or co-favorites with Georgia to win the College Football Playoff title, depending on which sportsbook you choose for odds.

On Saturday, the Bulldogs struggled with unranked Missouri on the road, requiring a solid fourth-quarter performance to put away the Tigers. Meanwhile, the Buckeyes continued their blowout streak with a 49-10 win over Rutgers in Columbus. Alabama holds the third-best odds to win the title after beating Arkansas even though quarterback Bryce Young left the game early with a shoulder injury.
While the top three teams’ odds are nearly identical, there’s a steep drop after them, as Clemson’s fourth-best odds are 12/1. The Tigers are undefeated at 5-0 with wins over ranked opponents Wake Forest and NC State in its last two games.
Michigan, which is perfect through five contests and has victories against Maryland and Iowa in Big Ten play, has the sixth-best odds at 20/1.
The Buckeyes and Wolverines are the only teams currently in the top six that will cross paths during the regular season, with Ohio State hosting Michigan on Nov. 26 at Ohio Stadium. If both teams continue winning until then, The Game could be the most important regular-season game in this year’s national championship chase.
If Alabama and Georgia finish the regular season undefeated, the Tide and Bulldogs will meet in the SEC Championship Game in another matchup with major CFP and national title implications. However, the loser of that matchup could still reach the playoff, as seen last year, so there might not be as much stake in that game as the one that will occur in Columbus a week earlier.
Beyond the top teams, Utah has the next best odds at 50/1 followed by Oklahoma State (+6000), Tennessee (+6000), Ole Miss (+8000), Oregon (+8000) and Penn State (+8000).
