All signs are pointing toward Ohio State wearing gray uniforms in its home night game against Michigan State on Nov. 11.
After multiple social media posts last week teasing the possibility of a gray-out against the Spartans, Ohio State offered a small glimpse of the apparent gray threads in a tweet on Monday.

Notably, the photo appears to show a scarlet Big Ten logo patch on the gray jerseys – a potential indicator that the numbers on the jerseys will also be scarlet, as the Big Ten patch color typically matches the color of the numbers.
The Buckeyes are expected to debut the new uniforms when they play the Spartans under the lights at Ohio Stadium in a 7:30 p.m. game that will be televised by NBC. The new gray alternate uniforms are different from the “Land of the Wolves” uniforms Ohio State wore in 2017 – the last time the Buckeyes wore gray jerseys – against Penn State in a game that immediately went into Ohio State lore when J.T. Barrett led three fourth-quarter touchdown to make up a 15-point deficit and defeat the Nittany Lions, 39-38, in front of the second-largest crowd in Ohio Stadium history.
Ohio State has typically worn an alternate uniform for one of its marquee home games each year in recent history. Ohio State wore all-black uniforms for its 2022 home game against Wisconsin, having previously worn those uniforms against Penn State in 2015, Nebraska in 2018 and Michigan State in 2019.
