Ohio State’s travel roster for its third road game of the season against Purdue includes just a few changes from previous games.
The only two players who made the trip to Purdue that did not travel for Ohio State’s previous road game against Notre Dame are defensive tackle Kayden McDonald and safety Cameron Martinez. McDonald is on the travel roster for the first time this season, while Martinez returns to the travel roster after missing the Notre Dame game due to injury.
Players who traveled to Notre Dame that did not make the trip to Purdue are quarterback Chad Ray, running back Miyan Williams, wide receiver Emeka Egbuka, tight end Joe Royer, cornerback Calvin Simpson-Hunt and kicker Parker Lewis. Ohio State was able to bring 78 players to South Bend, but is back down to the conference limit of 74 players for the Purdue game.
Williams, Egbuka and Royer are all out for this week’s game with injuries. TreVeyon Henderson will also miss the game due to injury, though he made the trip to West Lafayette and went through pregame warmups before being held out.
A total of 10 true freshmen made the trip to Purdue: McDonald, quarterback Lincoln Kienholz, wide receivers Brandon Inniss, Noah Rogers, Bryson Rodgers and Carnell Tate, tight end Jelani Thurman, offensive tackle Luke Montgomery, cornerback Jermaine Mathews Jr. and punter Joe McGuire.
