Ohio State has had no problem beating Michigan State in recent years.

The looming question: Will the Buckeyes be able to cover the spread in their only home night game of the season?

To do so, Ohio State will have to beat the Spartans by more than four touchdowns Saturday night in Columbus, as the Buckeyes are listed as a 29.5-point favorite at DraftKings and a 28.5-point favorite at FanDuel.

Dating back to 1997, Ohio State is 17-5 against Michigan State, including 14-7-1 against the spread. In home games in that span, the Buckeyes are 7-3, including 5-4-1 against the spread, and have covered the spread in each of the last three home games in the matchup. Ohio State has defeated Michigan State in seven straight games and covered the spread against the Spartans in six consecutive games.

Michigan State, meanwhile, is 3-6 outright and 4-5 against the spread. The Spartans are 1-2 against the spread on the road, with its 27-24 loss at Rutgers being the only time MSU covered the spread away from East Lansing.

Ohio State and Michigan State are set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. next Saturday on NBC. The Buckeyes' radio network, 97.1 The Fan, will also have the call with its usual crew of Paul Keels, Jim Lachey and Matt Andrews.
