Roman Wilson had some words for Ohio State – and All-American wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. – in a press conference after Michigan's 30-24 win in Ann Arbor.
When asked if he believes Ohio State was "tougher" in 2023 compared to 2022 or 2021, Wilson replied before the reporter finished their question.
"No," the Michigan wide receiver said.
After a brief pause, he continued.
"Definitely not. I told the receivers this week: You've got guys (at Ohio State) – this is the thing I thought, too – guys who put on the Louis V, the thousand-dollar outfit. You want to act hard, but when we're out there, they're not hard. I see the film. You're not tough," Wilson said. And I don't think I'm the toughest guy in the world. But I'm out there. I'm getting physical. I don't think they wanted it like I wanted it."
The Wolverines next to Wilson agreed.
“He said it,” tight end Colston Loveland added.
In Ohio State's win over Wisconsin last season, Harrison wore custom Nike cleats with several Louis Vuitton logos added on the shoe. In the same contest, the 6-foot-4, 205-pound pass-catcher also wore an Apple Watch on his left wrist.

On Saturday, Harrison collected five catches for 118 yards and one touchdown on nine targets from Ohio State quarterback Kyle McCord. Harrison was McCord's intended target on the Buckeyes' final offensive possession of the game – a play that resulted in an interception for Michigan defensive back Rod Moore.
Wilson, meanwhile, collected three catches for 36 yards, including a touchdown that gave Michigan a 14-3 advantage over Ohio State in the second quarter.

“We know what type of team this is,” Wilson said of his Wolverines. “We handle business. Whatever is going on outside of the building doesn't really affect us. The only thing that matters is what's going on with this team. I don't talk to other people about what plays we're calling, what situation, how’s practice. I talk to (Michigan offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore). That's all that matters is what happens in this business.”
