Notre Dame is the underdog in Monday night’s national championship game, but don’t tell Under Armour.
The apparel company prematurely released a T-shirt on Friday celebrating a national championship victory for Notre Dame with the words “Played Like A Champion Today” on the front of the shirt with an Notre Dame "National Champions" logo under the text.
“National champs! Celebrate the Fighting Irish winning it all with this limited edition fan gear,” reads the product description for the shirt on Under Armour’s official website.
The shirt is available for pre-orders now with a listed release date of Feb. 3.
If the game goes the way oddsmakers project it will on Monday night, those shirts may need to be hidden away never to be seen again. Ohio State is an 8.5-point favorite to beat the Fighting Irish in the national championship game, which kicks off at 7:30 p.m. in Atlanta and will be televised by ESPN.
