One of the top transfer quarterbacks still on the market is making an official visit to Ohio State.
ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported Wednesday morning that former Kansas State quarterback Will Howard would visit Ohio State "in the upcoming days." ESPN’s Tom Van Haaren reported Wednesday that Howard had arrived on campus for his visit and would remain at Ohio State through Thursday.
Howard is also considering entering the 2024 NFL draft after he visited Miami and USC in recent weeks.

A second-team All-Big 12 honoree for the Wildcats, Howard completed 219 of 357 (61.3%) passes for 2,643 yards, 24 touchdowns and 10 interceptions across 12 appearances in 2023. He also ran the ball 81 times for 351 yards and nine scores.
Howard spent four seasons at Kansas State from 2020-23. In 34 appearances and 27 starts, the 6-foot-5, 242-pound quarterback completed 458 of 779 passes (58.8%) for 5,786 yards, 48 touchdowns and 25 picks. He led the Wildcats to a Big 12 championship and Sugar Bowl in 2022.
Ohio State could add Howard after Kyle McCord, the Buckeyes' 2023 regular-season starter, transferred to Syracuse in December. McCord's immediate replacements, Devin Brown and Lincoln Kienholz, provided either incomplete or inconsistent performances in the Cotton Bowl, where the sophomore and freshman signal-callers combined for 106 passing yards and zero touchdowns in a 14-3 loss to Missouri.
