The Big Ten is now the Big Eighteen.

Despite the belief that Oregon, UCLA, USC and Washington became Big Ten members on July 1, the former Pac-12 schools officially joined the conference on Friday, and commissioner Tony Petitti embraced the new schools with open arms.

“We are excited today to officially welcome the University of Oregon, UCLA, USC and the University of Washington to the Big Ten Conference,” Petitti said in a press release. “All four institutions feature a combination of world-class academics and athletics that are a great fit for our conference, and we look forward to building long-lasting relationships with the administrators, coaches, student-athletes, alumni and fans.”

Now that their move is official, Ohio State and the Big Ten's other established schools welcomed the Ducks, Bruins, Trojans and Huskies to the conference with a series of social media posts. We collected those posts and more below.
