It appears George Fitzpatrick was the player to be named later in the Will Howard trade.
Corny Major League Baseball trade joke aside, the former Ohio State offensive tackle signed with Kansas State on Thursday, per multiple reports. Fitzpatrick served as a reserve for OSU at both guard and tackle this season and will have two years of eligibility remaining for the Wildcats.

Fitzpatrick announced his decision to transfer on Jan. 4 but stayed with the Buckeyes through their national title run.
He was the third offensive lineman to transfer out of Ohio State, joining Zen Michalski (who has since signed with Indiana) and Miles Walker (who has transferred to Boise State).
Fitzpatrick becomes the second Buckeye to transfer to Kansas State for the 2025, joining linebacker Gabe Powers.
He was likely going to be a backup again next season, considering the transfer portal additions of Ethan Onianwa and Phillip Daniels at offensive tackle. But at Kansas State, he'll have a shot to compete for a starting role.
