Taylor Thierry will get her shot to play at the highest level.
The former Ohio State guard/forward was selected with the No. 36 overall pick in the third round of the 2025 WNBA draft by the Atlanta Dream on Monday.

Thierry was a starter in three of her four seasons at Ohio State, collecting at least 10 points and five rebounds per game in each of those years. She posted 10.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and a team-high 2.3 steals per game in her 2024-25 senior campaign.
She becomes the 20th all-time WNBA draft pick from Ohio State as the Buckeyes have had at least one player selected in three straight drafts.

Thierry was the only Buckeye selected in the 2025 WNBA draft. That said, Ajae Petty will also get the opportunity to compete for a WNBA roster spot as the former Ohio State post player, who averaged 9.4 points and 7.2 rebounds per game in her season as a Buckeye after transferring from Kentucky, signed a training camp deal with the Minnesota Lynx.
