No. 3 seed Kollin Moore came up short of a trip to the NCAA finals, dropping a 13-9 decision to Minnesota's No. 2 Brett Pfarr. Pfarr took the season series three matches to one over the Buckeye freshman, with Moore's lone victory coming in the Big Ten championship.

The two aggressive 197s traded takedowns and escapes, but Pfarr was able to counter an attack from Moore to score the deciding points.

Pfarr will advance to his first NCAA final, where he will try and prevent No. 1 seed J'Den Cox of Missouri from ending his career with a third national title. Cox advanced to the title match with a decision over Virginia Tech's No. 4 Jared Haught.

Moore can finish no lower than sixth place at 197, and he will wrestle twice on Saturday morning in the consolation bracket.
