Ohio State checks in at No. 2 in the first College Football Playoff rankings of 2024.
Myles Martin received Wrestler of the Week honors from the Big Ten this week after an impressive performance at the toughest regular-season tournament in the country.
Defeating three Top-20 opponents en route to a 184-pound title, Martin led the Buckeyes to their third-consecutive Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational championship last weekend.
Martin, a senior from Penns Grove, N.J., is the second Buckeye to earn Big Ten Wrestler of the Week honors this season; Joey McKenna was recognized in the opening week of the season.
In Las Vegas, Martin was named Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament after he recorded five victories, including two by decision, three by major decision, and a first-period pin in the Round of 16. In his final three matches, he defeated No. 16 Louie DePrez of Binghamton, No. 8 Max Dean of Cornell and No. 3 Taylor Venz of Nebraska.
