Here's some thing you may have missed yesterday:
- Patrick Maks brought that fire with a story about the bond between linebacker Josh Perry and a cancer-stricken boy. (Urban Meyer has given it his personal stamp of approval.)
- Rowland's look at Meyer's attempt to bust up the Cass Tech-Michigan pipeline.
- I hereby christen Joe Burrow as "The Man with the Socks." Here's the Man with the Socks talking about the Elite 11 camp, courtesy of our John Brandon.
- George Whitfield, the quarterback guru, has some discrepancies on his résumé.
- I'm on record as stating Ohio State will win more than 10 games this year, and I'll get a tasteful Rutgers tattoo if the Knights upset the Buckeyes.
- Joey Bosa has been a freak.
- Some lawyers had a problem with Eat Too, Brutus, so check out the rebranding.
OSU HAS SOME TITLES THAT NEED CLAIMING. Auburn made waves in January (and last week) when they announced they're thinking of legitimizing unclaimed national titles from as far back as 1910.
According to SB Nation, Ohio State is third in the country in unclaimed titles. The Buckeyes have seven on the table, trailing only Oklahoma (10) and Notre Dame (11).
Sounds like we need to claim all of them. I don't care how shoddy the foundation of those titles is... RUN THOSE NUMBERS, GENE.
CRAFT BRINGS GRIT TO THE BEEHIVE STATE. Here's a shocking headline: "Ex-Buckeye Aaron Craft brings grit to Jazz workout." (I guess these people don't realize there is no such thing as an Ex-Buckeye.)
"[Aaron Craft] has pretty quick feet and he has really quick hands," [Jazz Vice President of Player Personnel Walt] Perrin said, "and that’s not going to change, not until he turns 50."
There has been some knocks on Craft's shooting, but he's been on his grind:
"It’s amazing how much work and time you can put in when you’re out of school and you have more time on your hands," Craft said. "Obviously I’m not where I need to be but I feel really comfortable with the improvement that I’ve made since the season’s been out. I’ve been shooting a lot and I’m happy with the progress. Just got to continue to do it."
[...]
"He shot it better than I thought he would," Perrin said. "I had to remind him a couple times he had his foot on the line. I told him that’s the worst shot in NBA basketball. … He made it better than I thought he would. So he has been working on his jump shot, but he still has a ways to go."
I'm intrigued to see if Craft can bring his #grit to an NBA roster by opening day. I do, however, always get a kick out of people who act like the NBA is the only professional basketball league in the world or that playing overseas is some sort of failure.
THE FUTURE OF BUCKEYE FOOTBALL. I wonder who will win the battle between Joe Burrow and Stephen Collier? ("Torrance Gibson" is an answer somebody will give.)

For the record: That's Stephen Collier on the left, 2017 commit Danny Clark in the middle and 2015 commit Joe Burrow is on the right.
HERBIE AND BRAXTON ARE ONE ON ONE. I'll just leave this here. I suppose it's for some ESPN segment that will air at a later date:
I'm going to need that shirt, Braxton. (Here's another view.)
THOSE WMDs. How college sports would change if the NCAA loses the O'Bannon trial... What the hell is this?... Why Mike Slive's D-4 plan would never work... Dan Marino is suing the NFL over concussions... A brief history of people who've been elected dog catcher... The first five minutes of 10,000 movies played at once... Do colleges drop the ball with student-athletes?... Why making your bed every morning matters, according to a Navy SEAL... Ha Ha Kitten-Dix is bossy... Nope...
