"Hi, everybody, and a very pleasant good morning to you, wherever you may be." - Vin Scully.

'Tis another cold, rainy day in the heartlands of Ohio, but no worries, the Skull Session is here to fill your stomachs like a lukewarm pretzel from the Schott.

ICYMI:

Word of the Day: Embrocation.

CJ JACKSON BURIES THE HOOSIERS. How many of you would have the cojones to look off Keita Bates-Diop, the Big Ten's second leading scorer, and drain a three-pointer to put a dagger in what was a horrible day for the Miller Bros.? Well, noted basketball man C.J. Jackson did just that as Ohio State knocked off Indiana in double-overtime.

Jackson hit a three-pointer with 1.6 seconds remaining in 2OT to give the Buckeyes an 82-80 win at Assembly Hall, which I've been told is not an easy place at which to play.

T'was a perfect ending to coach Chris Holtmann's first Big Ten regular season, which went exactly how we all expected it to go.

Ohio State has clinched the No. 2 seed in the Big Ten Tournament, but still needs help from Bucky to get a share of the Big Ten title and the No. 1 seed. Michigan State and Wisconsin face off at 1:00 tomorrow on CBS.

CARDALE JONES TO LINEBACKER? Admit it: You have at least once looked at Cardale Jones and his 6'5, 250lb frame and been like "that guy could play tight end... or linebacker... or defensive end." Well, you weren't that far off. He has a nice hit here on Ezekiel Elliott.

The Controller of Tides now holds the rare distinction of someone who is actually able to tackle Ezekiel Elliott.

You know, if I was on a cruise ship, by the pool, with Zeke not looking, I could probably tackle him too. But I don't think he'd have the same reaction if I did it.

NEWEST MEMBER OF THE BEAT. Former Buckeye cornerback Denzel Ward has agreed to chronicle his draft experience with NFL.com as part of the league's "Path to the Draft" program.

From NFL.com:

Ward, a projected top-10 pick, will be checking in with NFL.com throughout the spring as part of his Path to the Draft diary. While the standout Ohio State cornerback expressed the usual excitement many NFL hopefuls harbor in the weeks leading up to the draft, he also carried an air of appreciation not typically seen in soon-to-be millionaires. Ward isn't on this journey for himself alone.

"He was always in my life. He raised me," Ward said of his father, who was a beloved principal and coach at Carylwood Intermediate School in Bedford, an eastern suburb of Cleveland. "He taught me a lot throughout the years I was with him on this earth, and I'm very appreciative for that. It was just tough to see him go."

It is great to see Ward honoring his father, who unfortunately passed a few years ago. Here's hoping he follows the trend of Buckeye DB's before him and becomes uber-successful in #TheLeague.

CRUNCHY OR SMOOTH? Former NFL'er Charles "Peanut" Tillman has a new career: an FBI agent.

From Bobby Clay of Sporting News:

The 13-year NFL veteran entered the 20-week program last year, as first reported by the Chicago Tribune, and had until his 37th birthday (Feb. 23, 2018) to earn his badge due to a stipulation that a new agent must be appointed before he or she reaches that age.

Imagine this guy busting down your door in Chicago. "Oh damn I got caught BUT HEY IS THAT CHARLES TILLMAN?" Silver lining folks, silver lining.
