It was a bad, bad day for Ohio baseball, but that's what football is for.
Word of the Day: Inexorable.
PADDED UP. In the most definitive sign yet that Ohio State football truly is nigh, the Buckeyes are officially padded up.
Phase 1: Acclimation

If y'all are every bit as fanatical as I already know that you are, you've already dissected that brief highlight clip like it was the Zapruder film. But on the off chance you missed it, it looks like we've got Harry Miller and Nicholas Petit-Frere rolling with the ones on the offensive line early on.
I certainly won't complain about adding a couple of five-stars to the trenches.
WEAKKKKKKK. Much like what's taken place on the field the past two years, Don Brown has no response for Ryan Day.
Speaking with reporters for the first time since May on Wednesday, Brown was asked about Ohio State head coach Ryan Day's widely publicized "hang 100" comments. While not a public comment, 247Sports reported that on a summer teleconference between Big Ten head coaches, Jim Harbaugh accused Ohio State of violating NCAA rules with premature on-field instruction in practices.
Day responded on the call with, "How about I worry about my team and you worry about yours?" But at practice later that day, Day told his team ahead of practice that Michigan had better hope there was a mercy rule this season, because the Buckeyes were "going to hang 100 on them."
Over a month later, Brown took a more muted approach with reporters on a video conference.
"Well we get ready to play against them every day," Brown said of Ohio State. "We're running plays, we're seeing concepts, and we've got a lot of work to do. I'm just keeping my mouth shut and go to work every day, that's what I do. And that's what I'm going to do."
I'll be honest, I expected a little more fire from him in response, but I guess at this point I should be used to a Michigan Man doing absolutely nothing when provoked by a Buckeye.
10-POINT SWING? Ohio State's trip to Happy Valley will be decidedly happier this year as the pandemic situation has eliminated Penn State's best player this season, and I'm not talking about Micah Parsons.
Could no fans in the stands mean as much as a 10-point swing?@CoachUrbanMeyer thinks it's possible at a place like @PennStateFball, which is the "most difficult place" he's coached in his career.

10 points might be just a bit of a stretch, but I'm perfectly fine admitting that place and that crowd scares the absolute hell out of me. 'll happily take a crowdless Beaver Stadium if it's offered.
“THAT'S A GUARANTEE.” As if I could possibly love Chris Olave even more...
Chris Olave says he would have returned even if the season was cancelled. "That's a guarantee. I couldn't leave (with that) as the last play."

Here's hoping he'll have a chance to rectify it with a 200-yard receiving game against Clemson in January.
As terrible as that night was, it will be nothing more than a distant memory if the Buckeyes can properly bury Clemson this year.
SONG OF THE DAY. "Slow Burn" by Kacey Musgraves.
