Personal news: next week I will be on my honeymoon that got delayed a year due to The Very Bad Virus celebrating my wife miraculously not leaving me within the year.

Y'all know the drill – there will be a Skull Session every morning, it just won't be written by me. I only request that you be as unkind to them as you are to me (and don't be shy about sending me all of your Portland/Seattle/San Francisco/Los Angeles recommendations).

Word of the Day: Endue.

HE'S IN THE GAME. I'm not going to pretend actually *playing* Madden has been a particularly enjoyable experience in probably decades. But I have to admit, the graphics are crispy as hell.

The first look at Justin Fields looks... well, exactly like Justin Fields.

Looking good

I can't say I'm a Madden guy these days, but this facemapping has me absolutely hype for the return of the college football video game. If I live that long.

SOMEONE'S MAD ONLINE! As J.T. Tuimoloau's official visit to Ohio State gets underway, Washington fans are hard at work carrying on the time-honored tradition of inferior programs trying to convince an elite prospect he's not good enough to play at Ohio State so he goes to a worse school instead.

Ah yes, a kid who would be the top defensive prospect ever to commit to Ohio State is going to be "just another body in the machine" and definitely not the next in a long line of players who dominate for three years, get drafted as a top-five pick, and become instant impact players in the NFL as rookies.

Worth noting, the last time Washington produced a top-five pick on the defensive line, I was -2 years old. Meanwhile, Ohio State's done that half of the past six years. So uh, miss me with the "Ohio State isn't going to prioritize making him a high draft pick!" stuff.

Also, I'm not sure what point this fellow is trying to make, but Tommy Togiai left early and got picked in the fourth round and Haskell Garrett was an All-American last year and is a first-team preseason All-American heading into next season.

NIL READY. If all goes smoothly with Ohio's name, image and likeness bill, Ohio State players can start making deals in just two weeks – but Ryan Watts is getting just a bit impatient.

I have no idea what a player is going to be able to reasonably expect from an endorsement deal when this market opens up, especially someone like Watts who hasn't really played meaningful snaps.

But even if it's a free burrito, I'd say it's worth it.

OSU WANTS YOU. If you ever see those cinematic masterpieces Ohio State's video team cranks out and somehow think "hell, I could do that," then I've got some good news.

Whoever lands this gig, I thank you preemptively for the #content you will deliver me.

SONG OF THE DAY. "Hawaiian Rollercoaster Ride" by Lilo and Stitch.
