It's finally here.

What makes The Game special isn't just a rivalry that causes us to curse and spit and gnash our teeth at the mere mention of Michigan the state or university, it's also that there is a shared history that goes back decades, generations, epochs, and every year we get to relive little pieces of that history as our memories fill in the emotional blanks as we seek meaning for the matchup of this season.

Helping us with that is Bo Schembechler's son, Glenn "Shemy" Schembechler III, who is as steeped in this rivalry as anyone on this planet. A football man himself (he was a longtime NFL talent evaluator and owns GES Advisory, a football recruiting and analysis service), Shemy gives us a ton of insight into his father's role in the Ohio State-Michigan rivalry, the kind of relationship that Bo had with Woody, and how the rivalry has evolved over the years to become what it is today with Urban Meyer and Jim Harbaugh. It's a great interview with a true Michigan Man (and I use that in the most complementary way I can), and it was a lot of fun getting to talk to him about our shared history.

Plus, Beau and I look at how we think the game will play out with our Three Things, we take a couple of listener questions in Ask Us Anything (which you can do via e-mail or Twitter), and in the meantime you can rate and subscribe to us in iTunes!

0:00 Beau and I talk about the win against Illinois for about 7.3 seconds, and then wax poetic about our favorite game of the year and how it has impacted our lives.

22:44 Shemy! A great interview with a great guy, he leads us through his perspective on the Ohio State-Michigan rivalry, what it means to him (being the son of Bo Schembechler and all), and why mutual respect is such a big part of the game.

50:37 We get to our Three Things about The Game, and answer some listener questions, including one about the late, great Terry Glenn.

As always, thanks to Safelite AutoGlass for sponsoring the Dubcast, thanks to Travis for our logo, thanks to your for listening and supporting us through our Dry Goods store, and we'll see you next week! Game faces on, kids.
