As learned listeners of the Eleven Dubcast well know, George and I record on Sunday/Monday evenings (usually this is determined by whichever night I'm able to pry myself away from staring into The Void), and as such sometimes things pop up in the interim that we have to address in the post for the show.
(Sidenote: you might hear some references to a LIVE, VIDEO VERSION of the Dubcast. It's coming!)
And while Dallan Hayden's impending departure from Ohio State wasn't expected, per se, it actually helps the argument that I'm making this week that both Ryan Day and Jake Diebler have a lot of decisions to make in terms of both roster composition and transfer portal additions in the near future.
Plus, basketball national championship predictions/analysis (spoiler: we were right about Purdue/UConn) and much more!
- Somewhere there's a universe where Jeremiah Smith is an eternal Spring Ball hero and we never have to sully that image with actual football games
- Caleb Downs, on the other hand, already has a body of work with which to draw from and get excited about
- The men's basketball roster is in flux, to say the least
- Ask Us Anything - which you can do by sending us questions to dubcast@elevenwarriors.com - wants to know about conspiracy theories (again!)
- The men's and women's basketball championships definitely show the limits of the auteur theory of team composition
And that'll do it for this week on the Dubcast! Thanks as always for listening and checking out the Dry Goods store, and we'll see you next time!
