Eleven Dubcast: Ohio State's Wrigley Victory Was Just a Prelude to Indiana

I'm not personally a big fan of novelty venues that entail shoving a football game into any ol' stadium where it might happen to fit, but hey: a win's a win.

Ohio State didn't always look impressive in their victory over Northwestern, and there are still some unanswered questions surrounding their upcoming matchup against Indiana, but this was very much a "get in, get out" situation. I'll take a 31-7 win under weird circumstances pretty much every time.

Plus, it's hard not to feel pretty happy for wideout Carnell Tate, who made an emotional return to his hometown and had possibly the best performance of his career.

So all of that is pretty cool! Throw in some big time performances from other Buckeye teams, make fun of Brian Kelly for a little bit, and answer some excellent listener questions, and you've got yourself a Dubcast!

  • I think it's reasonable to say that both the team and the fanbase was looking past this game to Indiana, which, if you have any lingering concerns about the secondary, might give you pause.
  • Will Howard is playing at a very high level right now, but his Ohio State legacy will be decided in just a few short games.
  • Ask Us Anything, which you can do by sending us questions to dubcast@elevenwarriors.com, wants to know our Christmas tree preferences. Usually I eat mine with a little bit of powdered sugar.
  • I very seriously hope that Brian Kelly steps in poop tomorrow and the smell lingers around him all day, making people think he pooped himself.
  • Oregon will get the benefit of the doubt for the rest of the season, thanks to a one point win at home.
  • Hello, men's soccer! Welcome back, Sammy! Keep grinding, women's hockey!
  • We salute Carnell Tate.

And that'll do it for the Dubcast this week, thanks as always for listening and checking out the Dry Goods store! Watch the show now on YouTube above, listen via the mini player below or visit our Transistor page for links to other listening options such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and more.
