Ohio State announced Thursday an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct against former wrestling team physician, Dr. Richard Strauss, who died in 2005.
Strauss served in the role from the mid-1970s to the late 1990s, according to "the best information available" to the university.
State attorney Mike DeWine has committed the Bureau of Criminal Investigation to aid local investigators. DeWine, at the request of the university, appointed Bricker & Eckler LLP as an independent investigator. Its task is to investigate allegations against Strauss, which span his entire tenure.
Ohio State will publicly report its findings.
