Brady Hoke's Michigan team has lost 11 games in the last two years and finished 7-6 last year. Everybody knows, including Brady, that's not going to cut it at a school like Michigan. Today, he met with some media and touched on a wide berth of subjects:
On football topics: Hoke said the QB competition will probably be open, citing the 7-6 season; no more staff firings coming...

More Hoke: Gardner will be physically limited in spring, Magnuson and Bryant had shoulder surgeries; O-line open, except for Glasgow at C

Hoke said he was frank with the U-M assistants about their players' lack of development

Hoke on accusations Brandon running program: "everybody's got an opinion." Hoke says he makes "every day-to-day decision ... all of it."

The last quote about Hoke running "all" of the "day-to-day decisions" is interesting as it pertains to the Brendan Gibbons case, of which the Michigan student newspaper called Michigan's response "shameful." Hoke declined to get into specifics:
In small group of reporters, Hoke would not talk specifics about Gibbons. Hoke said takes pride in own character and integrity.

So nice of the University of Michigan to shut the Michigan Daily out of the Hoke presser -- after the Daily broke the Gibbons story.
