Stefon Diggs was a big time target for Urban Meyer's Ohio State. In the end, it came down to the hometown Terrapins and the Buckeyes. Diggs stayed true to his roots and rolled Maryland.
As Matt Zenitz of The Baltimore Sun first reported, Diggs suffered a kidney(!) laceration against Penn State on the first of the month, and the electric Maryland wideout and returner will be out for the season.
The crazy thing is, Diggs returned to the action after suffering the injury and almost scored a touchdown. He also mushed a referee in the face during the pregame.
Diggs was sidelined during the 2013 campaign due to a broken fibula. Maryland has a primetime date at home with Michigan State on Saturday.
