A couple of weeks ago there was some concern because the California State University System cancelled in-person classes for the fall. The concern was that the decision, while appearing premature, could influence the UC System to shut down in the fall. The UC System contains two PAC-12 schools, Cal and UCLA, and shutting down would make the possibility of having college football in the fall much more unlikely. However, today it was announced that the UC system will, in fact, remain open for the fall. This is big news for college football.
