Although FSU head football coach Mike Norvell has come out against racism, Semimole defensive star Marvin Wilson took issue with the coaches statement that he (Norvell) held individual conversations with the players about the current turmoil. Wilson stated that because of the lie, he and the other players would not participate in workouts.
