With the recent passing of the great Joe Morgan, it got me thinking if the Big Red Machine of the mid 70's had the best infield of all time? Johnny Bench behind the plate, Tony Perez at first, Joe Morgan at second, Dave Concepcion at short and Pete Rose at third...who was better than that? I am from Massachusetts and the '75 Reds ruined a wonderful year for my sox, but I know greatness when I see it. (Btw, I was thrilled the next year when the Reds swept the hated Yankees in the WS.
So, do you agree--best infield of all time?
