The SEC on Tuesday called off Saturday's Alabama-LSU and Texas A&M-Tennessee games as a result of COVID-19 testing depleting the Tigers and Aggies available rosters.
This comes on the heels of Monday's decision to postpone the Auburn-Mississippi State game after the Bulldogs had similar issues with positive test results and subsequent contact tracing.

This is actually important for two reasons: LSU is already using their bye week to make up a different game (Florida), so in all likelihood this game is just cancelled. That means for the CFP, the difference in games played between us and Bama shrinks by one. It also means that Fields can really put some distance between himself and Mac Jones in the Heisman race.
